DENZA, the premium technology-focused automotive brand under the BYD Group, has officially introduced the DENZA Z, an all-electric supercar designed to redefine performance, intelligent mobility, and luxury.
Making its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the DENZA Z showcases the brand’s latest innovations in electrification, intelligent driving, and high-performance engineering. The launch also confirmed four variants of the model, the Coupe, Spider, Racing, and a Special Edition that is set to attempt lap records at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife later this year.
Built on DENZA’s exclusive e³ Sports Car Platform, the Z features a triple-motor electric powertrain capable of producing up to 1,604 PS, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 1.96 seconds in the Racing variant. Complementing its performance is the brand’s latest FLASH Charging technology, enabling the battery to charge from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes, helping minimize downtime between drives.
According to Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, the DENZA Z represents the brand’s vision of a new-generation supercar one that combines exceptional performance with advanced electrified technology while eliminating many of the compromises traditionally associated with electric sports cars.
Designed under DENZA’s “Technology Drives Elegance” philosophy, the Z blends sleek styling with functional aerodynamics to enhance both performance and efficiency. The Coupe and Spider feature a four-seat configuration, offering greater everyday practicality without sacrificing the sporty character expected from a flagship performance vehicle.
Inside, the cabin combines premium materials such as carbon fiber, suede-effect finishes, and metal accents with advanced digital technologies. The driver-focused cockpit features a fully digital instrument cluster, a large infotainment display, wireless smartphone charging, an immersive Devialet audio system, and intelligent ambient lighting. Premium seating with heating, ventilation, massage functions, and power adjustment further elevates passenger comfort.
The DENZA Z is also equipped with an extensive suite of intelligent driving and safety technologies, including advanced driver assistance systems, intelligent suspension, torque vectoring, track-focused performance modes, and customizable driving settings designed to deliver both everyday usability and track-ready capability.
Powering the Z is BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery integrated into the vehicle’s Cell-to-Body (CTB) architecture, providing improved structural rigidity, enhanced safety, and optimized space efficiency. Combined with FLASH Charging technology, the system delivers faster charging while maintaining the durability and reliability expected from BYD’s battery platform.
Customers will also have access to a wide range of personalization options, with multiple exterior colors, interior themes, brake caliper finishes, and trim combinations available across the Coupe, Spider, and Racing variants.
Following its global debut, the DENZA Z Coupe, Spider, and Racing models will be available for order in selected markets this year, with customer deliveries expected before the end of 2026.
