MANILA, Philippines, October 12, 2026 – Ford Philippines continues to strengthen its commitment to quality customer service and a better ownership experience through its annual Ford Skills Olympics. The nationwide competition provides a platform for enhancing technical capabilities and raising service standards across its dealer network.
Held for the first time at the newly established Ford Learning Center, this year’s competition highlights Ford’s continued investment in its dealer network. It also brings the Ford Family Guarantee to life by showcasing the vital role dealer service teams play in delivering the brand’s promise of uncompromised quality.
The 2026 Ford Skills Olympics featured two major categories: the Service Technician Competition and the Service Advisor Competition. Across Ford’s nationwide network of 50 dealers, 452 technicians and 154 service advisors took part in the selection process, with seven representatives from different dealer groups advancing to the national competition.
The competition puts several key aspects of service excellence to the test, including product and technical knowledge, accurate diagnostics, proper repair and maintenance procedures, effective service consultation, clear communication, and confident, customer-focused decision-making.
Christian Paul Barroga of Ford Ilocos Norte claimed the championship in the Service Technician category. Kenneth Dimatulac of Ford Sta. Rosa finished in second place, followed by Jerick Valencia of Ford Global City in third.
In the Service Advisor category, Emilio Hermida of Ford Subic took the top spot. Jeffrey Cruz of Ford Manila Bay placed second, while Sean Kelvin Guangco of Ford Cebu finished third.
The competition will also take Ford Philippines’ technical expertise to the international stage. The Service Technician Champion will represent the Philippines at the Ford International Markets Group (IMG) Skills Olympics in Bangkok this November, competing against champions from other Ford markets.
The Ford Skills Olympics is an important Ford program as it helps us benchmark our capabilities, share best practices, identify opportunities for development, and inspire one another to raise the bar. The competition strengthens a culture in which excellence is not occasional it is practiced every day, in every dealership, for every customer, shared Pedro Simoes, managing director of Ford Philippines.
The Ford Skills Olympics underscores Ford’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the capabilities of its dealer network. Through the establishment of the Ford Learning Center, the company continues to invest in training and development, ensuring that technicians, service advisors, sales consultants, and dealer customer representatives have the current and future skills and knowledge needed to uphold Ford’s standards of quality customer service.
