Tesla is upgrading the Model Y L with improved acceleration as part of its continued efforts to enhance the driving experience and expand its presence in the Philippines. Alongside the vehicle update, the company is growing its retail and charging network, introducing new incentives, and bringing its electric vehicle experience to Pampanga.
Model Y L Gets a Complimentary Acceleration Boost
Designed as a six-seater SUV for families, the Tesla Model Y L combines safety, efficiency, and technology with a focus on passenger comfort.
The latest update improves its 0–100 km/h acceleration from 5 seconds to 4.5 seconds, while maintaining a driving range of up to 681 km (WLTP).
Tesla also highlights the safety ratings earned by its vehicles from leading organizations, including NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China.
The improved 4.5-second acceleration now comes as standard on the Model Y L, which is available to order online through the Tesla Model Y configurator
Bringing the Tesla Experience to Pampanga

Tesla is bringing its electric vehicle lineup closer to drivers in Northern Luzon through a pop-up display at SM City Clark from October 2 to 18, 2026.
Visitors can explore Tesla’s latest vehicles, learn more about its charging network, and take advantage of limited-time offers. Customers who visit the activation and complete a reservation during the campaign period may receive up to 5,000 km worth of Supercharging credits.
The activation also coincides with the opening of a new Tesla Destination Charging station at SM City Clark. Located at the mall’s North Parking area, the station features four charging slots with charging capacity of up to 11 kW.
Customers can also access support from a Tesla Accredited Body Shop at LAUS Auto Service Center.
Test drives are available from October 2 to 18, 2026. Interested customers can book through the Tesla Experience at SM City Clark page.
More Charging Locations on the Way
Tesla Philippines currently has four Supercharger sites with 16 Superchargers and 10 Destination Charging sites with 40 Wall Connectors.
The company is preparing to open additional charging locations to support more EV drivers.

Tesla ownership also comes with access to the Tesla Owners Club, which offers special discounts and privileges through participating merchant partners.
Through its Referral Program, existing owners can earn ₱6,500 in Tesla credits per referral, while new buyers can receive ₱13,000 for a new car purchase, subject to the program’s terms.
