MANILA, September 9, 2026 – As the world marks World EV Day, Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, is highlighting its growing range of electric vehicles designed around the needs of modern Filipino drivers.
Led by the Kia EV5 and EV9, the lineup brings together everyday practicality, advanced technology, and flexible space for different kinds of journeys. With support from ACMobility’s expanding EV charging network, Kia is also making it easier for drivers to see how electric mobility can fit into everyday life.

Work and Play Unbound: The Kia EV5
Designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, and drivers who move between work and leisure, the Kia EV5 brings everyday practicality into an all-electric package.
Inside, two 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and practical storage spaces make daily drives more convenient. Its 3.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability also lets owners power compatible electronics while on the go—useful for everything from work setups to weekend activities.
Built on a dedicated EV platform, the EV5 is powered by an 88.1 kWh LFP battery and a front motor producing 217 PS and 310 Nm of torque. It offers up to 550 kilometers of range on a single charge.
For added confidence behind the wheel, the EV5 comes equipped with Kia DriveWise advanced safety technologies and a 360-degree Surround View Monitor, helping drivers navigate both busy streets and tighter spaces with greater ease.
Executive Comfort Meets Family Logistics: The Kia EV9
For families who need more space without giving up the benefits of an EV, the Kia EV9 serves as the brand’s flagship fully electric three-row SUV.
Its second-row Relaxation Seats feature power adjustments, ventilation, and massage functions, adding a little more comfort to long drives and traffic-heavy commutes. Its spacious cabin also makes it suited for everything from school runs and family trips to executive travel.
Underneath, the EV9 uses an 800V architecture and dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing 384 PS and 700 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, while its 99.8 kWh battery provides up to 505 kilometers of range.
When it’s time to recharge, the EV9 supports 350 kW DC fast charging, allowing it to go from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
The EV9’s combination of space, technology, performance, and practicality also earned it both World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle of the Year at the 2024 World Car Awards.
The Next Horizon: A Growing Electric Ecosystem
Kia Philippines is set to expand its electric lineup further with two new models arriving locally within the year.
The Kia EV3, a compact electric SUV and 2025 World Car of the Year winner, is set to officially launch in the Philippines this September. With its compact footprint, bold design, practical range, and user-friendly technology, the EV3 is positioned to make electric mobility more approachable, particularly for Filipino drivers looking to make the switch to their first EV.
Following in October is the Kia PV5, an all-electric van built around a modular and adaptable platform. Its cargo variant will lead the local rollout, with applications suited for businesses, fleet operations, and commercial transport.
