June 9, 2026 — Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH), together with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) through its One to Tree program, and Good Neighbors International Philippines, has formally partnered to support the Laguluan Tree Park: IONIQ Forest Project, a long-term initiative focused on forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community development in Lian.

The partnership was formalized through a ceremonial signing attended by key representatives from the three organizations, including Jiho Son, Amaya Cristina Fansler, and Dong Chul Park.

Through this collaboration, Hyundai Motor Philippines continues to expand its efforts beyond mobility by supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, community engagement, and long term positive impact.

The Laguluan Tree Park: IONIQ Forest Project aims to produce, plant, and nurture 3,000 native timber seedlings to support forest restoration efforts and strengthen ecological resilience in the area. The project will also include the development of a tree park featuring spaces for ecotourism and environmental education, creating opportunities for learning, recreation, and a deeper appreciation of local biodiversity.

More than 4,000 residents of Barangay Prenza in Lian, Batangas are expected to benefit from the initiative.

Beyond environmental restoration, the project will also support local livelihoods by empowering 35 partner farmers and strengthening the capabilities of the Altura Spring Farmers Irrigators Association, Inc. Through sustainable land management practices, the program aims to create lasting economic and environmental benefits for the community.

The initiative is supported by several government partners, including the Provincial Local Government Unit of Batangas through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO), as well as the Municipal Local Government Unit of Lian through its Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).
