Dongfeng Motors Philippines has officially launched the Vigo EV, marking the brand’s latest step into the country’s growing electric vehicle market. Positioned as a smart and practical EV for modern Filipino drivers, the Vigo EV combines everyday usability, lifestyle-focused features, and fully electric mobility in a package designed for urban life.

The launch took place at the East Wing Atrium of Greenhills Mall, where guests, media, dealer partners, and bank partners gathered to witness the official unveiling of the new EV. The event also gave visitors the opportunity to experience the vehicle firsthand through on-site test drives and promotional activities.

Dongfeng Motors Philippines emphasized the Vigo EV’s role as a vehicle designed around the way Filipinos move today–combining smart mobility, comfort, practicality, and sustainability into a fully electric platform.

Leading the vehicle’s highlights is its claimed driving range of up to 471 kilometers, giving drivers added confidence for both daily commutes and longer trips.

The Vigo EV also introduces several lifestyle-oriented features aimed at improving everyday usability, including:

  • Zero-pressure breathable seats with both cooling and heating functions
  • An intelligent voice recognition system

During the launch, Dongfeng Motors Philippines Vice President for Sales and Operations Giovanni Frias emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility, stating that the brand remains “committed to a cleaner future for generations to come.”

Priced at ₱1,458,000

Dongfeng Motors Philippines officially revealed the Vigo EV with a starting price of ₱1,458,000, positioning it within the growing entry-level EV segment in the local market.

Customers will also be able to choose from six exterior colors:

  • Canyon Orange
  • Titanium Silver
  • Mosswood Green
  • Sandstone Yellow
  • Arctic White
  • Cyber Black

To help support long-term ownership confidence, the Vigo EV also comes with an 8-year or 170,000-kilometer battery warranty, alongside a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty.

Dongfeng Motors Philippines Sales Director Rollie Navarro also described the Vigo EV as a vehicle built around “innovation, comfort, and everyday practicality for the modern Filipino lifestyle.”
