RUF has brought its latest creation to Tokyo with the Japan premiere of the RUF Tribute, showcased alongside Gran Turismo at Ginza Sony Park in a special collaboration celebrating more than three decades of shared history with Gran Turismo.

Positioning itself as a meeting point of gaming and real-world performance culture, the RUF × Gran Turismo Tribute highlights the shared legacy between the German manufacturer and the iconic racing franchise.

A Tribute to Air-Cooled Heritage

At the center of the showcase is the RUF Tribute, a modern interpretation of the brand’s air-cooled legacy and long-standing connection to the 911 platform. Developed as a nod to that heritage, it features a RUF-designed 3.6-liter twin-turbo air-cooled flat-six producing 550 hp and 750 Nm of torque and paired with a 7-speed manual gearbox.

The Tribute utilizes a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis developed in-house by RUF, combined with a full carbon body shell to achieve high rigidity while keeping total weight down to just 1,250 kg (DIN). With an overall length of 4,207 mm and a 2,342 mm wheelbase, its compact layout balances agility and stability.

It also features pushrod-operated double wishbone suspension front and rear, along with carbon-ceramic brakes, working together with the lightweight chassis to deliver sharp response and precise driving dynamics.

Where Gaming Meets Car Culture

Staged at Ginza Sony Park, the pop-up exhibition brings together enthusiasts from both the motorsport and sim racing communities, reinforcing how Gran Turismo has shaped global appreciation for RUF models over the years.

More than just a car display, the collaboration positions the Tribute as a celebration of shared culture between digital and real-world driving right in the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza district.
