  • Alternate Routes & Parking: Motorists are advised to take detours via Makiling, Labo, and nearby streets, with designated parking areas along P. Guevarra, F. Huertas, and Oroquieta Streets.

The long weekend is here, and so is the traffic rush. Before you head out for your Undas visits or holiday getaways, take note: the Manila Police District (MPD) has announced several road closures and alternative routes around the city.

The traffic rerouting scheme will be implemented from October 30, 10:00 PM, until November 3, 7:00 PM.

Road Closures

  • Blumentritt St. from A. Bonifacio to Aurora Blvd.
  • Dimasalang St. from Retiro St. to Calavite St.
  • Maceda St. from Makiling St. to Dimasalang St.
  • Southbound lane of Dimasalang Bridge
  • Aurora Blvd. from Felix Huerta Rd. to Matandang Sora (Chinese Cemetery South Gate)

Alternate Routes

  • Vehicles from Dimasalang Rd. heading to Blumentritt Rd. should turn right to Makiling St.
  • Vehicles from Quezon City via A. Bonifacio Ave. should turn left to Labo St.
  • Vehicles from Maceda St. intending to go to Dimasalang St. or Retiro St. should turn right to Makiling St.

Designated Parking Areas

  • P. Guevarra St. from Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd.
  • F. Huertas St. from Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd.
  • Oroquieta St. from Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd.

Coding Advisory

The MMDA has announced that the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on October 31 (All Saints’ Day Eve, a special non-working holiday) to ease travel for motorists visiting cemeteries and those heading out of the city for the long weekend.

Expressway Advisory

For those traveling out of town, take note: Luzon expressways will soon implement a single RFID system for all major tollways. Existing RFIDs will be replaced; please register online or visit your nearest walk-in center to update your account.
