On February 25, 2026, The Ford Mustang Mach-E was named the top ranked battery electric vehicle in the 2026 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership Study, a recognition that reflects how real owners feel about living with the vehicle every day.
Scoring 760 out of 1,000 points, the Mustang Mach-E ranked ahead of other electric models included in the study, including the Hyundai IONIQ 6 and the Kia EV9.
The Electric Vehicle Experience Ownership Study looks at what ownership is actually like after the first year beyond the specs and features. It measures how drivers feel about their daily experience: how enjoyable it is to drive, how accurate the range feels in real life, how easy charging is, how manageable the costs are, and how confident owners feel about transitioning to electric.
The results show that satisfaction isn’t just about performance or technology. It’s also about how smoothly an electric vehicle fits into everyday routines from charging habits to overall ease of use.
