Ford Philippines is once again reminding customers to prioritize safety by having their vehicles checked for defective Takata airbags. Owners of affected models are encouraged to visit a Ford dealership as soon as possible for a free inspection and repair.

According to Ford Philippines, this reissued service program is part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to customer safety.

“The safety of our customers is our absolute priority,” said M Pushparaj, Director of Ford Customer Service Division, Philippines. “We continue to urge affected owners to book an appointment immediately for a safer and worry-free driving experience.”

Vehicles Affected by the Recall

Owners are advised to check their vehicles if they fall under the following models and production years:

  • Ford Ranger (2004 to 2011)
    Driver and Passenger Airbags
  • Ford Ranger (2011)
    Driver Airbag
  • Ford Everest (2006 to 2014)
    Driver, Passenger, and Side Airbags
  • Ford Mustang (2010 to 2014)
    Passenger Airbag
  • Ford Mustang (2010 to 2014)
Driver Airbag Inflator or Driver Airbag Module

If your vehicle is on this list, Ford strongly recommends taking immediate action.

What Ford Owners Need to Do

Ford Philippines has made the process simple and convenient:

1. Check Your VIN
Visit www.ford.com.ph/support/takata-airbag-recalls/ and enter your 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to confirm if your vehicle is affected.

2. Book a Service Appointment
Once confirmed, schedule an appointment with your preferred Ford dealership through online service booking or by contacting the dealership directly.
Select dealerships also offer repairs through Ford’s Mobile Service Vehicle (MSV).

Free Repair, No Cost to Owners

If a defect is found, Ford dealers will replace the airbag inflator at no cost.
The repair typically takes 2 to 3 hours, helping owners get back on the road safely and quickly.

Ford Philippines has already replaced numerous Takata airbag inflators over the past years, and this renewed campaign aims to reach remaining affected owners to ensure their safety and that of their families.
