Mark Luna’s love for anything 4-wheels is undeniable, even having a dedicated room with thousands of Hot Wheels and diecast collections.
Being a certified Honda boy and expanding his toy car collection, Mark garage is parked with the Civic SIR EK body to the latest-generation Civic Type R FL5.
In true car enthusiast passion, Mark modified his current Civic Type R with spoon mags and later changed onto TE37 rims, added springs, Eventuri intake and Cusco tower bar.
Who got you into cars? I’ll take a not-so wild guess and say it’s someone of a male figure, most probably your dad.
I’m sure your dad has shown you the best classic cars, proper engine care, and even fought with you as you learned how to drive. All but respect to the man, but let me introduce a new influence to your car-loving life. Meet our Uncle, Mark Luna.
Starting Small
Mark Luna is not your typical uncle. He’s not just someone you’ll greet politely during family gatherings but someone you’ll be excited to see and more so, know what car he drove on that day.
Because honestly, how can you not be excited to see Uncle’s 2024 Honda Civic Type R FL5, right?! And take note, it’s not the only civic Uncle owns, but more on that later.

Who would have thought that those Hot Wheels toys would spur a love and passion for cars? Those little diecast models others use as toys, Uncle built a collection on. He’s got hundreds, or even thousands.
I don’t know, how many does it take to fill up an average size room? You do the math. For this equation, it only proves just how much Uncle lives for cars. Whether small or big, 4-wheels are the deal.
For The Love Of Cars (And Civics)
For such a collector himself, his first car, a 1989 Toyota Corolla AE 92 small body, is still within his garage.
He actually bought back the very same car he first owned, years after letting go of it. Talk about (sentimental) value, right? Parked alongside his Corolla would be his Honda CivicS.

Yes, with an S. He’s got the Civic SIR EK body, Civic EG Hatchback, Civic Type R FK8, and of course, the latest generation Civic Type R FL5. What is it with Uncle and owning Honda Civics? Well, if we tell you, then we’ll have to kill you. Just kidding.
Uncle is a practical man with an impractical love for cars, basically. And what’s not to love about a Honda Civic? He has the best classic ones already, and he wants to make sure that he has the latest model. Simple (and practical). A new collection, yet again.
And like any other car enthusiast out there, in the spirit of being a true boy scout, Uncle has already ordered his Civic’s rims even before the car was in-country and released to him.
Can’t blame him on that part! It’s all about being prepared.
He first got Spoon mags which he later changed onto TE37 rims, added springs, Eventuri intake and Cusco tower bar. Get inside Uncle’s Civic Type R and you’ll end up with a new-found love for cars, that’s for sure.
Ako kasi pag may gusto akong kotse, bibilhin ko yan. Pag-iipunan ko, bibilhin ko
With all the modifications, Uncle knows that his Civic Type R would say “Gastusan ko pa siya”. No amount of car parts would ever stop the love of a car enthusiast. And isn’t that just what we do? Not just as a car guy but as a person.

When you love something or someone, you just can’t stop making them happy. In this case, we must say, the Civic must be very happy being spoiled and a certified Honda boy feeling satisfied.
Staying True
Our Uncle is not a regular uncle, he’s a cool uncle. From driving a Civic Type R to wearing a Saturn MoonSwatch, Uncle knows how to keep it fun. It’s always in his element. And perhaps that’s his secret to staying young (and young at heart). But asking the man himself for life advice, he says to study hard, work hard, and pray hard. That’s the Trifecta right there and who are we to disagree?

Just like Uncle, we all aspire the best in life. We hustle everyday until we reach our goals, one by one. But putting in the work is as important as enjoying the moment. And that’s Mark Luna – never forgetting to enjoy the little things, just like his little Hotwheels of his.
For those curious about his millions of Hot Wheels and diecast collection, stay tuned. That’s another feature you don’t want to miss.
